Emerging

Filmed in April 2021 the piece explores how the dancers felt emerging from lockdown and beginning to take tentative steps towards meeting each other and entering the world again. This was echoed in the season of Spring, resulting in a subtle duet with nature.

With Wings

With Wings is a collaboration between Luke Brown Dance and Cadenza Dance Company looking at the imagery of paper planes, the pathways we travel and the journeys we make both physically and metaphorically. It has been performed at Norwich Theatre Stage 2, (2021) DanceEast, Ipswich (2022) and Plantation Gardens, Norwich (2022).

Acorn

Acorn is a response to Robert Macfarlane's poem of the same name from 'The Lost Words'. The poem is about how the biggest and mightiest objects and forces are made up of the smallest things. Acorn celebrates our human connection to the natural world as well as to each other. Originally created in 2019, the piece seems to be more pertinent and relevant now after our experience through the pandemic. Performed at Norwich Theatre Stage 2 (2021).
